Navajo community finally gets water

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2002

The Navajo Nation community of Lake Valley, New Mexico, has been hooked up to its first water line.

The $520,000 project was funded by various tribal, state, federal and non-profit sources. The Indian Health Service will be able to connect individual houses to the water system within the year.
