Arson blamed for Navajo Nation fire

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2002

Navajo Nation authorities believe a fire that destroyed outgoing President Kelsey Begaye's election headquarters in Shiprock, New Mexico, was deliberately set.

The mobile home was destroyed on Sunday night.

Begaye lost his re-election bid to Joe Shirley Jr.
