Idaho tribal member pleads guilty
WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 2002 A member of the Coeur d'Alene Tribe of Idaho pleaded guilty this month to embezzling more than $100,000 in tribal funds. As part of the plea deal, Pamela Johnson will pay back $55,000 and plans to cooperate with authorities in the prosecution of her ex-boyfriend Theoplis "Max" Daniels. Daniels is alleged to have come up with the idea to take casino profits from the tribe. The investigation could lead to more arrests, said a prosecutor. Get the Story:
