Makah tribe 'pleased' with whale ruling
FRIDAY, AUGUST 9, 2002
Makah Nation chairman Gordon Smith is "very pleased" with a ruling throwing out a challenge to the Washington tribe's whale hunt, the Associated Press reports today.
Hunting families may or may not take to the waters this summer, the tribe's attorney said. A fall hunt is possible.
