Few Natives in Ariz. law enforcement

Only 16 Native Americans work for the Arizona Department of Public Safety in a state with a high Native population.

According to Eddie Sidney, one of two Hopi tribal members, the department has a hard time attracting Native candidates. Paul Etnire, the other Hopi, is in charge of recruiting and says the department should better reflect the state's demographic.

The department is 73 percent white men.
