Indian petroglyphs in Nev. preserved

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2003

The Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area in Nevada was dedicated on Monday.

The 48,438-acre area contains numerous petroglyphs. Used primarily for hunting, it has been an important site to tribes in Nevada, Arizona and Utah.
