Tribal judge pleads guilty to obstruction

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2003

A judge for the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana pleaded guilty in federal court to obstruction of justice.

Judge Crystal Lavern Denny tipped off a reservation resident of an impending federal search. She faces five years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.
