Students learn about Native culture at camp

TUESDAY, MAY 13, 2003

Camp W.A.T.E.R. is three-week camp in Alaska that blends Native knowledge, Western science and canoeing.

Participants, up to the middle school age, will spend a week at a Native culture camp. The Tlingit-Haida Community Council shows students about traditional hunting, gathering and fishing. Information from a scientific perspective is also presented.
