Eastern Cherokee mailing stirs election probe
TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2003 Political season for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians has some steamed over a recent mailing. The tribe's attorney general has been asked to look into the mailing. It could have been generated by the tribe's enrollment list, a list that can be viewed but can't be used for "personal gain."
