House leader wants tribal exemption in Internet bill
THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 2003 The chairman of the House Resources Committee said tribes should be exempted from a bill to ban Internet gambling. Rep. Richard Pombo (R-Calif.) objected to the current version of the bill. The National Indian Gaming Association says tribal rights need to be considered. Get the Story:
