Wash. tribes oppose changes in state water law

TUESDAY, MAY 6, 2003

Washington tribes with treaty-backed water and fishing rights are fighting bills that would change water law.

The Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission says the two proposals will hurt salmon, the environment and water rights.
