Ute tribal member won't talk to council member
TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2003 A member of the Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado agreed not to contact a council member who felt threatened by his presence. Sage Douglas Remington said he kicked a bathroom door after a council meeting. He said didn't know Southern Ute Vice Chairman Pearl Casias was inside. But Casias felt threatened and obtained a restraining order against Remington. He agreed not to contact her in order to avoid further court proceedings. Get the Story:
