Native history in Alaska complex
MONDAY, APRIL 8, 2002 The Alaska Anthropological Association recently held its annual meeting, featuring more than 100 reports about Alaska Native history. One report documented a large Native village that thrived on the Bering Sea for more than 1,000 years. With an estimated population of as many as 1,000, the village contained as least 250 houses.
