N.M. petroglyph monument to get funds
THURSDAY, AUGUST 16, 2001 The Petroglyph National Monument in New Mexico will be getting $75,000 in funds for a number of repair and upgrade projects. The money will pay for a road, an interpretive center including a description of the importance of volcanoes to tribes and other projects. The monument is located near Albuquerque. It contains petroglyphs considered sacred by a number of Pueblos. Get the Story:
