Pequot Tribe ready to fight fires

MONDAY, APRIL 29, 2002

On alert 24 hours a day, the fire department of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation responds to calls on and off the Connecticut reservation.

The 32-member department helps out local communities as well as the tribe. The tribe started the fire team in 1986.
