First Nations police have broad authority
FRIDAY, JANUARY 25, 2002 A Mi'kmaq First Nations police force has jurisdiction over the entire Nova Scotia province, a provincial court judge ruled on Thursday. The authority of the Unama'ki police isn't just limited to the reserve, said Judge David Ryan.
