Mystery virus still causing deaths

Eight years after it was first reported in the Navajo Nation, the hanta virus is still causing the sudden deaths of tribal members.

One is Hardy Haceesa, a 23-year-old who died in April 1998 from the virus. His death is the subject of a medical malpractice lawsuit alleging that an Indian Health Service in Shiprock, New Mexico, was unprepared to treat Haceesa.
