Pequot Chairman: Its hard being a leader

A highly anticipated meeting between the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and three Connecticut towns went off without a hitch on Monday.

Pequot Chairman Kenneth Reels said he had trouble sleeping the night before the meeting due to its significance. He opened the meeting with a prayer and a tobacco and sage offering.

About 80 persons attended the meeting, including about 20 reporters. It was held in Norwich and was arranged by freshman Congressman Rob Simmons (R-Conn).
