Three Connecticut towns opposing the federal recognition of the Paucatuck Eastern Pequot and the Eastern Pequot tribes will hold a forum in order to update residents on their efforts.

The towns of North Stonington, Ledyard, and Preston also will report on their lawsuit against expansion by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. The towns are suing the Department of the Interior, who approved a request by the tribe to bring into trust and additional 165 acres to their reservation in 1983.

The forum will take place in North Stonington on Thursday, May 18 at 8 PM.
