FBI nominee faces Senate this week

MONDAY, JULY 30, 2001

Beginning today, Robert S. Mueller, President Bush's pick to head the FBI, will go before the Senate Judiciary Committee for his confirmation hearings.

Even though he has widespread support, the process is expected to last two days as Senators plan to question Mueller about his ability to change the troubled agency.

The hearing will begin at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. An audio feed is available online at CapitolHearings.Org.
