Oglala Tribe retakes offices

TUESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2001

The Oglala Tribe on Sunday said it has retaken control of a tribal office from a group of tribal members who had protested government corruption and other issues.

The Grassroots Oyate had occupied the building for more than a year and a half. Some had left in January but a few continued to stay in the building.
