Pequot Tribe, towns to meet
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2001
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and three Connecticut towns will be meeting October 9 to discuss land-into-trust issues.
The tribe has offered to limit land-into-trust applications to 880 acres over the next 35 years. The towns of Ledyard, North Stonington and Preston have opposed the tribe's attempts to seek trust land.
