Justice supports death penalty moratorium
APRIL 10, 2001 At a speech at the University of the District of Columbia, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Monday said she supports a mortorium on death penalties by states. Ginsburg said those who receive the death penalty aren't adequately defended in court. She appears to be in the minority in the Court on the issue, as most requests to delay death penalty cases are denied by the majority. Get the Story:
