Towns really opposed to Pequot tribes

In case the message wasn't clear the first 500 times, three Connecticut towns on Thursday held a press conference to say they oppose the federal recognition of two Pequot tribes.

The towns of Ledyard, North Stonington and Preston released a 110-page document that reiterates their position on the Eastern Pequot Tribe and the Paucatuck Eastern Pequot Tribe. They said they paid about $600,000 for the report but it won't be going anywhere because the comment period on the tribes has ended.
