Pueblo officer arrested

TUESDAY, MARCH 19, 2002

The FBI on Monday arrested a Laguna Pueblo officer for allegedly raping a female prisoner on a road in New Mexico.

David Chavez is charged with with deprivation of rights under the color of law, aggravated sexual abuse. He denies assaulting the woman who reported the rape last November.
