Native Corp's stock worth $860M

The Federal Communications Commission on Wednesday approved a stock trade deal that would make Cook Inlet Region Inc., an Alaska Native Corporation, $860 million richer.

CIRI has a limited partnership interest in VoiceStream Wireless Corporation, a Washington-based wireless communications provider. They have invested $125 million in the company, according to CIRI's senior vice president.

They want to turn that partnership into 7.5 million shares of VoiceStream stock, which would be worth $860 million.
