Two plead guilty to theft from tribe
MAY 7, 2001 Two former employees of the Red Cliff Band of Ojibwe have pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $200,000 from the Wisconsin tribe. The two will pay restitution to the tribe. They are also helping authorities with an investigation of a wider group of employees who have reportedly stolden nearly $1 million from the tribe since 1991. Get the Story:
