Native corp sees big stock payout
MAY 7, 2001 Shareholders of Cook Inlet Region Inc., an Alaska Native corporation, will share in a $94.3 million payout thanks to a recent telecommunications stock windfall. The corporation has about 7,000 shareholders. A shareholder with 100 shares in CIRI would get $15,029. CIRI in December made a $314 million payout to shareholders, the largest ever by a regional corporation.
