Tribe seeking to supply lottery machines

TUESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2002

The Oneida Nation is hoping the state of New York will be tribally-supplied video lottery machines.

The tribe has given a presentation to Gov. George Pataki (R) on the subject, said spokesperson Mark Emery. Under legislation Pataki signed in October, the machines are legal and can be installed at race tracks.
