Gorton's lead grows

NOVEMBER 16, 2000

Senator Slade Gorton (R-Wash) is leading Democratic challenger Maria Cantwell by over 8,000 votes as of Wednesday.

Tomorrow afternoon, King County, a Cantwell stronghold, is expected to report results on absentee ballots. Other counties are also scheduled to report.
