Idaho Senate approves 'squaw' bill
FEBRUARY 13, 2001 The Idaho Senate voted nearly unanimously to approve a bill that renames all "squaw" place names in the state. Only one Senator voted against the bill. The state Historical Society would be charged with renaming all locations. Get the Story:
