OK officer quits after deadly shooting of Kiowa woman

Amid heavy protest by the local Kiowa community who called for his firing, Russell Williams resigned Thursday April 6 from the Carnegie, OK, police force. Three weeks earlier, he shot and killed a Kiowa/Apache woman, Carmen Ybarra, claming self defense agains the 5ft10in, 345lb Ybarra. Williams also reported that he received death threats.
