Janklow's 100-day sentence for car accident is over

Bill Janklow, former South Dakota governor and Congressman, is being released from jail today after serving 100 days for second-degree manslaughter and three misdemeanors. Janklow was found guilty in connection with an August 16, 2003, car accident that killed Randy Scott, a motorcyclist. Janklow was speeding when he hit Scott. During his trial, Janklow maintained that his diabetes condition dulled his senses. He is still trying to overturn his conviction. Get the Story:
