Sentence handed down in Leech Lake murder case

A 20-year-old woman from the Leech Lake Ojibwe Reservation in Minnesota was sentenced to 30 years for the murder of a tourist fisherman.

Leah Harper-Jenkins and two others from the reservation were charged in the killing of 21-year-old Brian Jenny. Jenny was beaten to death with a baseball bat.

Kenneth Conger, 16, the second defendant, goes to trial today. Stephanie Losh, 21, pleaded guilty in April to kidnapping and is testifying against the others.
