S.D. tribal colleges receive Ed. Dept. grants

The Department of Education's Strengthening Institutions Program has awarded grants to three tribal colleges in South Dakota.

Si Tanka College on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation will receive $1.4 million to build a health and wellness training center. Sinte Gleska University on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation will receive $1.5 million for a student services center. Oglala Lakota College on Pine Ridge Reservation will receive $1.2 million to build a nursing instruction building.
