Paddle Journey participants focus on healing
Tuesday, July 29, 2003

A total of sixty canoes representing 40 tribes from the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada arrived at the Tulalip Reservation in Washington, the culmination of the annual Paddle Journey.

The theme of this year's event is "Healing Through Unity." In addition to cultural presentations, participants will focus on prevention of drug and alcohol abuse.

The journey dates back hundreds of years but was recently revived.
