A Department of Justice attorney argued on Monday that a shutdown of the Department of Interior's computers will cause widespread suffering.

U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth said the potential harm to Indian beneficiaries greater. He issued a preliminary injunction that cuts off Internet access at the department , but with several exceptions.
