Judge tosses lawsuit against tribe's amphitheater
Friday, August 1, 2003

A federal judge in Washington dismissed a lawsuit challenging the Muckleshoot Tribe's amphitheater.

U.S. District Judge John Coughenour granted summary judgment to the tribe and Clear Channel Entertainment, which operates the amphitheater. He said the environmental review process they followed was sound.

A group called Citizens for Safety and Environment filed the suit and has challenged the tribe on a number of fronts.

The amphitheater opened this summer.
