A bill to boost Indian Country economic development conditions is worth a try, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader says in an editorial.

Sen. Tim Johnson (D-S.D.) introduced a measure that includes tax relief, tax credits, bonding incentives and streamlined procedures. The goal is to help tribes and Indian entrepreneurs by improving banking opportunities on reservations.

"In essence, the changes would make it easier to raise capital for projects," the paper says.
