First Nation buying land for urban reserve

The Opaskwayak Cree Nation in Manitoba is buying land for an urban reserve.

The $80,000 purchase will be within Thompson city limits. According to CBC News, the land will be treated as a reserve once the band negotiates a municipal services agreement with Thompson.
