Navajo police dispatched to Blackfeet Reservation
Wednesday, August 13, 2003

Police from the Navajo Nation have been sent to patrol the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs took over the Blackfeet police department in February, citing numerous problems. The tribe has restarted its police force, and is working to develop a cooperative agreement with the BIA.
