Jodi Rave Lee's replacement on Native beat named

The Lincoln Journal Star of Nebraska has named a replacement for paper's Native beat.

Kevin Abourezk will take over coverage of Native issues while Jodi Rave Lee, a member of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation, completes a prestigious journalism fellowship at Harvard University. The fellowship lasts one year.

The Journal Star is the only mainstream paper in the country with its own Native beat.
