Zuni Pueblo council member on administrative leave
Tuesday, August 19, 2003

A Zuni Pueblo official who has been the tribe's primary spokesperson on the fight to protect a sacred lake has been placed on administrative leave, The Gallup Independent reports.

Simplico has been on leave ever since a utility company said it would not pursue a coal mine near Zuni Salt Lake. When located by the paper, he would not give an explanation, and tribal leaders have not commented.
