Ponca Tribe awarded domestic violence grant

The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska was awarded a $165,200 grant from the Office of Violence Against Women to develop strategies to aid families with a history of domestic violence.

Native American women suffer from the highest domestic violence rates in the nation. Most are victims of someone of another race.
