Crews are battling a 100-acre fire on Cochiti Pueblo and state land in New Mexico.

The Cochiti Fire was apparently sparked yesterday by lightning. It is not burning near the main tribal village but large plumes of smoke are visible behind the town of Cochiti Lake, which the tribe owns.

The tribe is blocking a road that leads to the lake and into the Santa Fe National Forest.
