Sentence for man cleared of murdering Native woman
Thursday, September 4, 2003

An Alaska man acquitted of the murder and rape of a Native woman will serve time for tampering with evidence at the crime scene.

According to The Anchorage Daily News, Joshua Wade, 23, will accept a 6 1/2-year sentence, the maximum for evidence tampering. He agreed to five years plus 18 months because he violated his parole.

Wade was acquitted in April of the murder and rape of Della Brown. Witnesses said he bragged about killing her but there was no physical evidence linking him to the scene.
