Wash. tribe opens methadone treatment clinic

The Stillaguamish Tribe of Washington opened the first methadone clinic in Snohomish County on Monday.

The clinic is starting out with a few patients, and will have 30 by next week. According to The Everett Herald, 20 percent of the patients are Native American.

Methadone is used to break addiction to drugs like heroin or the prescription drug Oxycontin.
