Blackfeet Nation concerned about drilling project
Wednesday, September 17, 2003

The Blackfeet Nation of Montana is raising objections to a drilling project in the Lewis and Clark National Forest.

The drilling would take place near the 133,000-acre Badger-Two Medicine area of the forest. The area is known for its cultural sites and is used for hunting.

The U.S. Forest Service is still studying how development would impact the area, part of which is a national historic district.
