Sioux author and scholar Vine Deloria Jr. spoke at a forum at Haskell Indian Nations University on Wednesday.

According to The Lawrence Journal World, his speech ran the gamut of issues. He compared the Bush administration's policy on Iraq to treatment of Indians during the late 1800s, he said the Indian trust fund lawsuit will "go on forever" and that environmentalists think "they can be Indian" but never see issues through.
