N.D. lawmakers designate First Nation Day

The North Dakota Legislature has designated October 10 as First Nations Day.

The Friday before the second Monday in October of every year will be dedicated to the state's tribes. The suggestion was made by Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation chairman Tex Hall.
